In December, 1953, testing on the Nash Metropolitan was done at Raleigh Speedway, a one-mile paved track that was also the first lighted superspeedway in the '50s.
Car E1008 performed the speed endurance trial, E1013 performed the economy trial, and E1271 performed the 24-hour test.
Raleigh Speedway was the second Superspeedway to stage a NASCAR race. Darlington Speedway was the first.
The "X Files" episode, "The Post Modern Prometheus", originally aired November 30, 1997.
It was written & directed by " X Files" creator, Chris Carter.
Many consider “Prometheus,” from season five and filmed in beautifully gothic black and white, to be
to be one of the all-time best "X-Files" episodes.
Certainly, it was the only "X-Files" episode to feature Jerry Springer - or a Nash Metroplitan.

This image is from the first season (1968-69) of "Adam 12". This episode was called of "We Can't Just Walk Away from It". The original air date of this episode was 3/1/1969.
The picture is of Martin Milner, who played officer Pete Malloy. Since it is difficult to see whether this Nash Metropolitan has a trunk, all one can know for sure is that this car was a 1956 (later version) or newer.
